Guwahati: India is entering the golden period of its economy with the free trade agreement with the UK, followed by trade deals with the European Union and the US, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday. He added that Indian industries will get new markets from next year onwards.Speaking to reporters in Sonari on Wednesday, the CM said, “PM Narendra Modi has done a great job for the Indian economy. India is entering the golden period of its economy with the free trade agreement with the UK, followed by a trade deal with the European Union and, now, with the United States of America.”“I strongly feel that from next year onwards, our industries will get a new market in Europe, UK, New Zealand, US and the economy will bloom again. We have seen 7% growth today. I am sure that with this new initiative, India will see more than 8% growth from next financial year,” he said.BJP’s state spokesperson Manas Sarania also said India’s deal with the EU has opened unprecedented avenues of trade and cooperation.
