IMD records slightly above-normal day temperatures

Panaji: Maximum temperatures across coastal Goa remained slightly above normal on Jan 25, according to observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at the Panaji and Mormugao observatories. The data indicates warm daytime conditions, while minimum temperatures showed mixed trends across locations.Panaji recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7°C, which was 1.4° above the seasonal average, while Mormugao registered 33.2°C, about 1.7° above normal. Night temperatures, however, were closer to normal, as Panaji reported a minimum temperature of 20.2°C, marginally 0.3° above average, while Mormugao recorded a cooler minimum of 19.6°C, nearly 2° below normal. Relative humidity levels were slightly lower than usual, standing at 77% in Panaji and 72% in Mormugao.
