IIIT-A inks MoUs with 14 startup cos to promote innovation

Prayagraj: The Innovation and Incubation Foundation, IIIT Allahabad (IIITA) has signed MoUs with 14 startup companies with the aim of promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, research commercialisation and industry-academia partnership.The MoUs were signed to facilitate cooperation in areas like technology development, product innovation, startup incubation, mentoring, skill development, internships, joint research projects and commercialisation of research outcomes. The initiative aligns with the institute’s vision of nurturing innovation-driven startups and supporting young entrepreneurs. IIITA director Prof Mukul Sharad Sutaone emphasised that the Innovation and Incubation Foundation (IIF-IIITA) plays a crucial role in transforming academic research into viable products and startups. “The newly signed partnerships will provide startups with access to IIITA’s technical expertise, research infrastructure, faculty mentorship and student talent while enabling the institute to engage closely with real-world industry challenges,” he said. The participating startups represent diverse domains, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, cybersecurity, software development, the Internet of Things (IoT), health-tech, fintech, ed-tech and smart solutions. Through this collaboration, startups will be supported in product validation, pilot deployments and scaling their innovations. Prof Satish Kumar Singh, dean and official from the Innovation and Incubation Foundation, said such collaborations are essential for creating a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem and generating employment opportunities. The MoUs will also encourage student entrepreneurship, live industry projects, internships, and exposure to startup culture, thereby enhancing practical learning. The companies included NCode Sutram, Trishulopulsion Technology Private Limited, Sern Prosthetics Private Limited, Wott Technologies Private Limited, Paperclip Innovative Solutions Pvt Ltd, Ecoboard Tech, 3P Labs Private Limited, Tekora Labs Private Limited, Curelex Healthtech Private Limited, Nexafusion Technology Private Limited, Cogniease Techno Labs Private Limited, Stornuage Labs Private Limited, Stods Enterprises Private Limited, Narendrapur Agro Private Limited and Zontrek Private Limited.
