If you want to complain about UP Electricity (Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited – UPPCL), you can follow these steps:

1. Online Complaint Options

  • UPPCL Official Website:
    Visit https://www.upenergy.in/ and log in to the consumer portal to register your complaint.

  • SMS Complaint:
    Send an SMS to 95551 in the format:
    COMP<space>Consumer Number<space>Complaint Details

  • UP Power App:
    Download the UP Power App (available on Google Play & Apple App Store) and lodge your complaint.

2. Helpline Numbers

  • Toll-Free Number: 1912 or 1800-180-3333
    (Call to register a complaint or check status)

  • Discom-Specific Numbers (if applicable):

    • Lucknow (PVVNL): 1800-180-3333

    • Kanpur (MVVNL): 1800-180-5252

    • Agra (PVVNL): 1800-180-3333

    • Varanasi (PVVNL): 1800-180-3333

3. Offline Complaint

  • Visit the nearest UPPCL Sub-Divisional Office or Electricity Complaint Center.

  • Submit a written complaint to the Executive Engineer (XEN) or Junior Engineer (JE) of your area.

4. Social Media & Higher Authorities

  • Twitter (X): Tag @UPPCL_Official and @upcmo with your complaint details.

  • Email: Send an email to helpdesk@upenergy.in or ce@upenergy.in (Chief Engineer).

  • CPGRAM (Centralized Public Grievance Redressal System):
    File a complaint at https://pgportal.gov.in/ if unresolved.

5. Escalation (If No Resolution)

  • Contact the UPPCL Chairman Office: 0522-2288933

  • UP Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC): https://www.uperc.org/

Tips for Effective Complaint

  • Provide your consumer number and meter number.

  • Mention exact location (pole number, transformer details if possible).

  • Keep a complaint reference number for follow-up.
