History sheeter found stabbed to death in East Delhi's Kalyanpuri

NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old man was found stabbed to death near a public toilet in East Delhi’s Kalyanpuri, police said on Thursday.The deceased was identified as Mukesh. Police received information via a PCR call that the man was declared brought dead at Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hospital.“Mukesh was found lying with stab injuries near a public toilet in Block 18 of Kalyanpuri. He was shifted to the hospital by a beat constable, where doctors pronounced him dead. The body was preserved in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination,” a police officer said.A crime team inspected the scene of the incident; however, no CCTV cameras were found in the vicinity. Police sources said the deceased was a known bad character and history-sheeter of Kalyanpuri Police Station.Police are probing whether he was attacked by someone because of personal enmity or some other dispute.A case was registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Kalyanpuri Police Station. Police initiated efforts to identify and apprehend the accused.
