Gurgaon: The Haryana govt has invited citizens to submit suggestions for the state’s 2026–27 budget, opening the consultation process to the public till Jan 31 through multiple platforms, including a missed call, an AI-assisted interface, and an online portal. The initiative is part of the govt’s effort to widen participation in budget-making. Alongside a public outreach, chief minister Nayab Singh Saini is holding a series of meetings with stakeholders across sectors to incorporate inputs from industry, education, trade, agriculture and women entrepreneurs.“Haryana govt believes that the budget should be prepared in accordance with public interest, development priorities, and the real needs of citizens. With this objective, every citizen is invited to share their suggestions,” said deputy commissioner Ajay Kumar. People can register their views by giving a missed call on 7303350030. An AI-assisted interface is also available at thevoxai.in/haryanabudget, while detailed suggestions can be submitted through an online form at bamsharyana.nic.in/suggestion.aspx. The chief minister began the process with a meeting at Gurugram University on Jan 6. This was followed by dialogue programmes in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Hisar.Ajay Kumar said the AI-based Haryana Budget public participation portal, launched by the chief minister, has enabled direct engagement of common citizens, experts and stakeholders in the budget preparation process. The portal allows submissions in Haryanvi, Hindi and English to ensure wider participation.
