Ahmedabad: A gym trainer was assaulted late at night at a fitness centre in the Prahladnagar area in Dec last year. The incident took place as the accused wanted the money paid by his female acquaintance returned.Anandnagar police registered a case on Friday for voluntarily causing hurt and abuse against a Paldi resident. The trainer stated in his complaint that the accused arrived at the reception claiming to be his friend.
The visitor then took him into the changing room and demanded Rs 32,000 paid by the visitor’s female acquaintance be returned. The trainer alleged the man then grabbed his hair, slapped him on the face, and used abusive language.A security guard intervened to stop the assault, but the complainant said the attacker also struck the guard before leaving. The accused allegedly warned that he would return the next day.The trainer later informed a staff member at the gym, who submitted an application about the incident.
