GPSC plans to make 2.10 lakh appointments in 10 years: Minister Ishwarsinh Patel said in the assembly on Tuesday that the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has drawn up plans to make 2.10 lakh appointments in the next 10 years. Providing information in reply to a question, the minister said that in the past two years, GPSC sought applications for 306 Class 1 and Class 2 positions. He added that preliminary and final examinations for 240 positions have been conducted and eligible candidates will be called for interviews shortly.Unused govt land for nagarpalikas: In reply to a question in the assembly, the state govt said that a notification was issued earlier this month, allowing the govt to provide land free to municipalities for fixed purposes. The govt will provide unused land to municipalities for setting up municipality headquarters, fire stations, sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, drainage lines, water supply projects, and the like.Rs 1,550 crore to alleviate malnutrition: The govt informed in the assembly on Tuesday that a sum of Rs 1,550.3 crore has been earmarked in the 2025-26 state budget for schemes aimed at reducing malnutrition among children. In reply to a question by Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar, the govt said that as of Dec 31, 2025, Rs 554.42 crore had been used for the purpose.
