GU-ART round 1 in March, apply for test by Feb 18

Panaji: Goa University has started the admission process for the academic year 2026-27, with the announcement of the schedule for the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) for admission to post-graduate and BEd programmes at the varsity and affiliated colleges.GU has said it will accept applications for the test through the Goa University Samarth admissions web portal until 5pm on Feb 18.“GU-ART Round-I shall be conducted on March 7, 8, 14, 15, and 22, while the change of discipline test will be held tentatively on Feb 25 and 26. Final year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply and will be granted provisional admission, subject to eligibility fulfilment,” the varsity has said in a circular.Admissions of final year undergraduates will be confirmed after they clear their final undergraduate exam.The GU-ART is one paper of 100 marks, containing 50 objective multiple-choice questions of two marks each. Half a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. No marks are deducted for unanswered questions. The duration of the GU-ART is 90 minutes.After the test, students are ranked based on which seats are allotted to them.Additional GU-ART rounds will be conducted only if seats remain vacant in the respective subject programmes. Candidates answering subsequent GU-ART rounds will be ranked after the candidates of the previous round.
