Govt, Nasscom MoU for digital skilling

Lucknow: Collaboration with Nasscom would help scale digital skilling and reach a larger number of learners, which was the main take away at UP govt’s day-long AI-led innovation and capacity building conference held in Lucknow on Tuesday.The workshop was organised by the Centre for e-Governance under department of IT and electronics. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Centre for e-Governance and Nasscom for implementation of the FutureSkills Prime programme in UP.

Addressing the conference, chief minister’s advisor, Awanish Kumar Awasthi said artificial intelligence and emerging technologies were emerging as critical drivers of economic development, job creation and good governance. Principal secretary, IT and electronics, Anurag Yadav said AI-based solutions would play a crucial role in making governance more efficient.Special secretary, IT and electronics, Neha Jain said the partnership with Nasscom would help take digital skilling programmes to scale across the state. Nasscom CEO, Abhilasha Gaur underlined the importance of AI and digital capabilities in building a future-ready workforce. CEO of Bhashini platform, Amitabh Nag highlighted the role of multilingual digital empowerment in strengthening citizen services.
