Friends make Nadeem Hasnain’s 75th b’day spl

Lucknow: Old memories came alive when friends, students and admirers of anthropologist, author and ‘Lucknow’s Boy’ Nadeem Hasnain came together to celebrate his 75th birthday at the International Buddhist Research Centre on Thursday.A short film chronicling his life journey was screened, featuring his college days, family life and moments with Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA) members and students. National working president of IPTA, Rakesh Veda, said, “I and Nadeem remained friends throughout our college life. So generous a soul he is that no one seeking his help has ever returned empty-handed.” Lucknow University former VC Roop Rekha Verma said, “Nadeem is a man of egalitarian thinking and is extremely kind, someone who can give unbiased, truthful and correct advice.” Hasnain thanked those present for attending and said, “My heart is filled with gratitued to know people love me so much, and it’s the support, love, guidance and friendship of these people that made me successful.”
