Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Anil Kumar has informed that under the Nand Baba Milk Mission, a total of 15 eligible applications were received under Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yoj for breed improvement and increase in milk productivity in cows. Due to the high number of applications, 04 beneficiaries have been selected through e-lottery at 12:30 pm under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Arpit Upadhyay and 11 beneficiaries have been placed in the waiting list.
The Chief Veterinary Officer informed that under this scheme, there is a target to set up 4 units in the district, in which 10 indigenous advanced breed cows will be purchased from outside the state. Under the scheme, it is mandatory to have 0.2 acres for animal construction and 0.8 acres for fodder production and animal insurance is necessary for 3 years. 15 percent of the scheme i.e. Rs 3.54 lakh will be received from the beneficiary 35 percent i.e. 8.26 lakh rupees as bank loan and 50 percent i.e. Rs 11 lakh 80 thousand. The quality and quantity of milk production will be improved under the scheme.
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana to increase the national average of animal milk production per animal milk production. Under this scheme, cows of high -quality indigenous breeds will be purchased by Sahiwal, Gir and Tharparkar from outside the state, which will increase the income of farmers and promote milk production.
The Chief Veterinary Officer said that on the occasion of the selection of the beneficiaries through e-lottery, the leading district manager Rae Bareli Ramesh Dubey, Veterinary Officer Ataura elderly Dr. Prahlad Singh Niranjan along with departmental officers were present.
