Patna: Police teams from the Haryana STF, Bihar STF and local police raided the residence of former BJP worker Pankaj Kumar Lal in Ajnaul village of Samastipur district on Tuesday and arrested him after recovering counterfeit currency. Lal is accused of running a fake currency doubling racket, allegedly exchanging counterfeit notes. DSP Vivek Sharma said Lal is also named in a Haryana fraud case registered before elections, in which a victim was robbed after being lured with a promise of doubling money.
