Forged documents used for bail: Case registered against panch others

Hisar: The police here have registered a criminal case against two named persons, including a Kuleri village panch, for allegedly using forged documents to secure bail for an accused in an attempted murder case. No arrests have been made so far.Acting on a complaint by District and Sessions Judge Alka Malik, the Civil Lines police station registered an FIR against Deepak alias Rahul, son of Jagannath Das, a resident of Parav Chowk; Rajendra, a panch of Kuleri village; and others under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.According to the complaint, forged land records (jamabandi) were allegedly submitted on Dec 19, 2025, as surety documents in connection with the bail of Deepak alias Rahul, who is an accused in an attempted murder case registered at HTM police station in 2023.During the investigation, the police found that the jamabandi copy used for the bail bond belonged to Deepak, son of Indra Singh, a resident of Kirmara village, but was allegedly misused by another person claiming to be Deepak, son of Indra Singh, from Kuleri village. When the Kirmara resident was questioned, he reportedly denied standing surety and produced his Aadhaar card showing his date of birth as Jan 1, 2001. In contrast, the Aadhaar card submitted in court listed the date of birth as Jan 1, 1992, and bore a different identification number. The police said the Kuleri sarpanch informed investigators that no person by the name Deepak, son of Indra Singh, resided in the village. The sarpanch also stated that the individual whose Aadhaar card was submitted did not belong to his village. The Aadhaar centre concerned reportedly informed the police that the submitted Aadhaar card appeared to be generated incorrectly, and no corresponding data was available in its records.Investigators suspect that forged documents were prepared in collusion with the panch and submitted before the court to secure bail for the accused. Further investigation is underway.MSID:: 128504707 413 |
