Flyer found with live ammunition rounds at Mopa airport, booked

Mapusa: An FIR was registered against Bindu Kumari, 39, of Himachal Pradesh after security personnel allegedly detected two live ammunition rounds in her baggage at Manohar International Airport, Mopa.Kumari was scheduled to board an IndiGo flight to Chandigarh when the discovery was made during a routine pre-boarding security screening at around 5.10pm on Wednesday.When questioned by the Central Industrial Security Force and airport staff, Kumari failed to produce a valid arms licence or the mandatory permission from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security required to transport ammunition on an aircraft.Based on a complaint by the duty manager, the Mopa airport police registered an offence under the Arms Act.
