Noida News: Flight from Jewar Airport in Noida is trapped between domestic and international service. Due to the incomplete work of the terminal building of Jewar Airport, now there is doubt in the working body to the government regarding the date of its operation. The target of preparing a terminal building for domestic flight is expected to be completed from 15 May and terminal building for international flight from 15 to 25 June. In such a situation, if the airport is commercially operated with domestic and international services, then its date can be between July and September. However, it is also being considered that it should be started with these services after getting aerodom license in May and the completion of domestic flight terminal. Noida Airport is expected to get aerodrome license by the last week of May.

In the Air Traffic Control Tower, the work of the Indian Aircraft Port Authority is in the advance stage. In such a situation, a decision regarding domestic and international services is yet to be made regarding the operation of the airport. After the success of the validation flight at the airport, all paper formalities have been completed on the aerodrome license as well as aeronautical information publication (AIP). Airport officials said that the Central Industrial Security Force is deployed before the scheduled time of commercial operation of the airport as per rules. At present, 1,030 posts of CISF have been approved for Noida Airport, but they have not been posted yet. Dr. Arunveer Singh, CEO, Nyl said that the target is to complete the domestic flight by May 15, but the terminal building for international flight will take a little more time to complete. According to the condition, the company is being imposed a 10 lakh per day from September 29. It will start till it takes place.

According to officials, the design is becoming the biggest obstacle in completion of terminal building work. The technical work of steel molding in the terminal building has caused problems. However, the Tata company has imposed more than 800 workers. In view of the availability of land at the airport, Zurich has prepared a report on the basis of study of Istanbul and Beijing Airport. It plans to build six runways at a distance of 2400 meters in view of future passenger capacity. The distance between the currently proposed two runways is 1600 meters.

A fine of Rs 10 lakh per day is being imposed per day as per the condition and rule till the date of operation from 29 September 2024 on the scheduled date. The airport operation has been delayed by more than eight months from the scheduled time. On 25 November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone in Jewar and on 15 June 2022, construction work started in 1334 hectares under the first phase of the airport. The date of 29 September 2024 was set for the operation of the airline under the first phase.
