Gorakhpur: Five research projects from the Ayurveda College of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University (MGU) have been approved under the prestigious Spark Fellowship Scheme of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, functioning under the Union ministry of ayush.The approved projects are led by research scholars Pragati Yadav under Vinamra Sharma, Arun under Giridhar Vedantam, Ravi Ranjan under R Pushpan, Prabhakar Verma under Abhijit N and Vineet Singh under NR Navodaya Raju. Each project will receive a research grant of Rs 50,000 under the fellowship scheme.
Officials said the institute is the first Ayurveda college in UP to secure approval for five projects simultaneously under the Spark Fellowship Scheme.Vice-chancellor Surinder Singh termed the achievement a reflection of the students’ research aptitude and the guidance provided by faculty members. He congratulated the selected scholars and their mentors for bringing recognition to the university. Registrar Pradeep Kumar Rao described the development as a proud moment for the institution, adding that it would further strengthen research culture on campus and enhance the university’s academic standing at the national level. tnn
