Three people were killed in a fire in a slum late Monday night near the Karkardooma Court in Anand Vihar. As soon as the information was received, two fire engines reached the spot and in half an hour, the fire was controlled.
Fire personnel found three bodies from the slum, which were identified as Jaggi (34), Shyam Singh (36) and Jitendra (35). All three were residents of Oraiya. According to the fire department, the fire was reported at around 2.22 pm. The police is investigating the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, the news of a suspected death of a prisoner has come to light in the lockup of Tis Hazari Court. He was a prisoner of Mandoli jail. The police is also investigating the matter.
