Ludhiana: A fire broke out in a hosiery unit at Daba Road early on Thursday. As flames spread quickly, the stock kept inside was gutted. Luckily, there were no injuries or casualties. With the large stock stored inside impeding their efforts, fire officials took three hours to control the conflagration. Officials said the fire started between 2.30am and 3am, and when they reached the spot, the hosiery unit was already in flames. They added that they used at least nine to 10 fire tenders to douse the flames.MSID:: 127941297 413 |
