Kurukshetra: A state-level meeting of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Charuni) was held on Saturday at Jaat Dharamshala in Kurukshetra under the chairmanship of the union’s leader Gurnam Singh Charuni.During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the trade deal with USA, which the union strongly opposes. Leaders discussed the roadmap for a statewide agitation against the agreement and formulated strategies on several public and farmer-related issues. The meeting also focused on preparations for a large rally scheduled to be held on March 23, 2026, at the Anaj Mandi in Pipli. Office-bearers and workers were assigned specific responsibilities to ensure the success of the rally.Following the meeting, union leaders and workers staged a protest against the India-USA trade deal by burning copies of the agreement at public intersections.
