Ludhiana: A woman posing as a cop was detained along with her male accomplice after they allegedly attempted to extort truck drivers in Transport Nagar area. The Moti Nagar police have arrested the accused after they were apprehended by some truck drivers. The accused were produced before a local court on Thursday that has remanded them in two-day police custody.The arrested accused have been identified as Ramandeep Kaur of Shale Chakk village in Gurdaspur and her aide Vikram Singh of Prem Colony of Meharban. An FIR has been lodged against them at Moti Nagar police station. Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Singh, SHO at Moti Nagar police station, that the woman was already facing trial in a similar case lodged against her in Ropar. tnn
