Hyderabad: AIMIM general secretary and four-term MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, passed away here on Tuesday. He was 72. He is survived by a son and two daughters.Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri worked closely with three generations of the Owaisi family and played a crucial role in strengthening AIMIM organization. He served as the long-standing general secretary of the party and was widely respected for his commitment, discipline and grassroots leadership.He began his political journey as a corporator in the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad in 1986 from the Dabeerpura Ward. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Charminar assembly Constituency in 2004, 2009 and 2014, and later from the Yakutpura constituency in 2018.AIMIM office said the Namaz e Janaza would be offered at Masjid e Hakeem Vazir Ali, Fathe Darwaza, Bahadurpura at 1.20pm (after Namaz e Zohar) and Tadfeen (would be laid to rest) at Masjid Hazrath Syed Mohiuddin Pasha Zareen Kulah, Noor Khan Bazar, Dabeerpura.
