Chennai: Tamil Nadu chief electoral officer (CEO) Archana Patnaik handed over electoral photo identity cards (EPIC) to first-time voters and distributed certificates and trophies to students who won various contests held as part of national voters’ day on Sunday. Patnaik said, “This year, the slogan of ECI is ‘My India, My Vote’. Everyone should follow it and contribute to a stronger democracy. At present, about 80,000 personnel are involved in special intensive revision of electoral rolls. Those who have completed 18 years of age must enrol as new voters and exercise their right to vote.” TNN
