Noida: A man who allegedly stole goods from a thread factory in Sector 63 was arrested near Pushta Mod, New Usmanpur, on Monday.According to the additional deputy commissioner of police, Central Noida, Santosh Kumar, the man, Dheeraj Saxena, was employed at a factory that manufactured threads and cords for businesses. Once the orders were placed, Saxena would be tasked with transporting them. On Jan 4, Saxena was transporting about 300 boxes of threads. However, he did not deliver them and sold them to a scrap dealer. The company filed a complaint against Saxena at Sector 63 police station and a case was registered under Section 316(4) (criminal breach of trust) of BNS, said the station house officer, Amit Kakran. Saxena was arrested on Monday and police recovered stolen goods worth Rs 15 lakh from his possession. Saxena told police that he committed the crime out of greed. “Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the scrap dealer who bought the stolen goods,” said Kakran.
