Noida: A 27-year-old man died after a car hit his e-scooter in Sector 47. The accident took place near a traffic junction. Sanjay Singh, a resident of Sector 45, was riding through the intersection when a car hit his e-scooter, throwing him onto the road and leaving him critically injured. Passersby alerted the police, and Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed during treatment. Police have seized the car and detained the driver for questioning. Officials said legal formalities, including preparation of the panchnama, were completed and the body was sent for autopsy. Additional DCP Shavya Goyal said circumstances of the crash were being investigated. In a separate incident, a 40-year-old man died in a road accident near the Sector 81 metro station on Tuesday. Police said they received information through the PRV about an injured man admitted to the Bhangel CHC. The victim, Mahesh of Barola, was declared dead during treatment.A team from Phase 2 police station reached the spot and conducted preliminary inquiries. Police completed legal formalities and sent the body for post-mortem examination. An FIR was registered based on a complaint by the victim’s family.Officials said efforts were underway to identify the vehicle involved in the Sector 81 accident, which fled the scene.
