There is a shortage of about 20 essential medicines in Malkhan Singh District Hospital and DDU Joint Hospital. About 1000 patients are reaching the OPD of both hospitals daily, but due to lack of medicines, they are being forced to buy from outside. Pharmacists are advising patients to take medicines from external medical stores.

Patients say that the form is formed in hospitals for just one rupee, but the necessary medicines are not available. CMS of the district hospital, Dr. Jagveer Singh said that most of the medicines are in stock and those who are lacking are being ordered. Dr. MK Mathur, CMS of DDU Hospital also said that if a patient is returned without medicine, it will be investigated. In view of the increasing problem of patients, the administration is claiming a solution to this problem as soon as possible.
