Kanpur: Divisional railway manager, Prayagraj Division, Rajnish Agrawal conducted a comprehensive inspection of Kanpur Central Station on Thursday to review the development works underway under station redevelopment.In view of various examinations in the coming days, the DRM directed to ensure smooth and safe access to platforms for examinees during train arrivals and departures and effective operation of holding areas for crowd management. Arrangements for the remaining two major bathing festivals of the ongoing Magh Mela were also reviewed on the occasion and the authorities were instructed to ensure necessary passenger facilities, security, and crowd control management so that devotees do not face any inconvenience. The DRM also inspected the railway tracks and security arrangements. He, later, held a meeting with the officers and instructed them to pay special attention to passenger facilities and complete all arrangements in a timely and coordinated manner. Deputy chief traffic manager, Kanpur Ashutosh Singh, senior divisional security commissioner, Prayagraj, Vijay Prakash Pandit along with other officers, were present.
