Kanpur: District election officer Jitendra Pratap Singh said on Saturday that under SIR, the published draft electoral roll would be publicly read out at all 3770 booths in the district on January 18 (Sunday).He said all booth level officers would be present at their respective booths from 11 am to 4 pm on the scheduled date. During this period, along with the draft voter list published on January 6, entries related to voters marked in the unavailable category during the counting period and absent, transferred, deceased and duplicate voters would also be read out publicly.Singh said that under the special intensive revision period, applications related to new voter registration, deletion of names and amendment of entries were being accepted from eligible citizens.
Citizens who were completing 18 years of age on January 1, 2026 or whose name was not yet registered in the voter list could apply through Form-6.He said Form-7 was prescribed for deletion of name and Form-8 for change of name, age, gender, photo, address or amendment related to duplicate voter identity card. Form 6A was available for NRI voters. He added that all forms would be available with the respective BLOs.The district election officer said that under this special campaign, all eligible applicants could submit their applications to the Electoral Registration Officer office or BLO concerned through online or offline mode till February 6. He said the lists related to the applications received in the Electoral Registration Officer’s office could be viewed through Form-9, 10, 11, 11-A and 11-B on official website of District Election Officer, Kanpur Nagar kanpur Nagar.nic.in/deo-portal/.
