District Magistrate Harshita Mathur and Superintendent of Police Dr. Yashveer Singh, on the occasion of World Environment Day today, inaugurated the solo experiment plastic-free campaign to prove the resolution of their Rae Bareli-Relieving Rae Bareli on the occasion of World Environment Day and put a garbage to the RRC to reach the RRC Center.
This campaign will start from June 05 and will run in all rural areas of the district by June 30, 2025.
The District Magistrate said that the purpose of this campaign is to make Rae Bareli plastic free and promote environmental protection. The District Magistrate started this from Gram Panchayat Rahi and appealed people not to use plastic and protect the environment. This initiative will increase awareness about environmental protection in the region and promote hygiene.
District Panchayat Raj Officer Soumya Sheel Singh informed that the concerned Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat) and Secretary Gram Panchayat have been specified by the District Cleanliness Committee by the District Cleanliness Committee to conduct all the ARCs constructed in the district under Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0. The District Panchayat Raj Officer has collected plastic from rural areas to all the cleaning workers of the district to reach the RRC.
Apart from this, the Plastic Waste Management Unit (P.U.M.U) built in the district development block Shivgarh and Maharajganj will be conducted unnecessarily by conducting personal inspection by the District Panchayat Raj Officer. The income received from plastic aggregation will be distributed in the Gram Panchayat as per rules. All Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat), Secretary Gram Panchayat, District Advisor, Block Motivational and Safai Madam have warned.
After this, after meeting with 100 women of Gram Panchayat Rahi, he was made aware of the plastic -free campaign.
Chief Development Officer Arpit Upadhyay, Block Development Officer Gauri Singh Rathore and concerned officers/employees and regional residents were present in the program.
