Kanpur: Artists enthralled the audience with their performances during the divisional cultural programme held under the Cultural Festival-2026 in Kanpur on Monday. The event witnessed various art forms including folk, classical and contemporary. The programme featured competitions among winners of district-level cultural festivals from Etawah, Auraiya, Farrukhabad, Kannauj and Kanpur Dehat. Participants competed in various categories, including singing, instrumental music and dance, and were judged by a jury comprising cultural experts.
Based on their performances, Krishna, Vaibhav Kumar Prajapati and the KPS group jointly secured the first position. Shambhavi Verma, Vaibhav and Khushi Kumari were awarded second place, while the third position went to the KPS group, Ayush Shukla and Samridhi Chaudhary. All winners were honoured with certificates and accolades by the jury.District information officer, tourism officer, culture department officials, the coordinator of Sanskar Bharti, along with several cultural experts, artistes and other dignitaries, were present on the occasion. tnn
