Ludhiana: With an aim to expedite development works, Ludhiana mayor Inderjit Kaur, Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, and municipal commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta on Thursday reviewed the ongoing and proposed development projects for the Atam Nagar constituency during a meeting held at the MC zone D office.The works regarding reconstruction of roads, laying of sewer and water supply lines, and renovation of parks were reviewed during the meeting.
Zonal commissioner (zone C) Gurpal Singh, zonal commissioner (zone D) Jasdev Sekhon, SE Sham Lal Gupta, and other officials from the civic body’s B&R branch, O&M cell, and building branch were present at the meeting. Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Sidhu stated that a large number of development works worth crores were going on in the constituency, and more projects would be launched in the coming days. The mayor stated that deadlines were fixed for various development projects, and no laxity would be tolerated in terms of the quality of development works. They would also conduct field inspections in the coming days to review the ongoing projects at ground level, she added.
