Daytime temperatures decrease slightly

Panaji: After nearly a fortnight of maximum temperatures hovering close to 3°C above normal, Goa witnessed a slight easing in daytime heat on Wednesday, with both Panaji and Mormugao recording lower departures from the seasonal average.According to IMD data, the maximum temperature at Panaji was 31.6°C, which was 0.5°C above normal. In Mormugao, the maximum temperature stood at 32.8°C, a departure of 1.4°C from normal. The marginal dip came after an extended spell during which maximum temperatures across coastal Goa were nearly 3°C above normal.Minimum temperatures showed a mixed trend. Panaji recorded a minimum of 22°C, which was 1.4°C above normal. In contrast, Mormugao saw a minimum of 21.6°C, marginally below normal at 0.6°C.Relative humidity levels remained high at 90% in both locations.
