Lucknow: A cycle rally, followed by cancer awareness programme at the Karua Panchayat Bhawan was organised by DigiSwasthya Telemedicine Centre at Kamala Kutir, Itaunja-Lucknow, on World Cancer Day, on Wednesday. It was in collaboration with a dozen surrounding villages, their panchayats and the local Rama College.More than a hundred locals, students and public representatives participated. The DigiSwasthya team comprised its patron Dr A P Maheshwari, Rama College manager Shiv Chauhan and village head Bajpai.
Rama College students presented a street play and conveyed a social message through a dance performance. The core message was timely treatment by the right doctor and strong determination to defeat cancer were crucial.Children who survived cancer shared their inspiring stories of hope and courage. Satyam’s story of triumph drew applause. Wisdom and experience of elders in the rural community also came to the forefront.
