Kolkata: Police on Tuesday spoke to security officers present during ED’s search at the I-PAC office at Godrej Waterside building in Sector V. This also included the security officer who was present at I-PAC’s 11th floor office.The police will also speak to I-PAC office staff who were present during the search. Sources said the cops are trying to ascertain when the ED officers arrived, when they began their search and what were their specific instructions.
One of the key employees was seen closeted with I-PAC director Pratik Jain over the past 48 hours, performing his job both at the office and in arranging the IT conclave of Trinamool social media workers. “The statements of employees will be recorded as these will be the most important account of ED’s activities at the I-PAC office, just like the statements from in and around Jain’s residence on Loudon Street,” said a senior police officer.Officers plan to record statements of neighbours to establish a timeline of ED’s arrival, what transpired before police reached the spot and what local residents may have seen during the operation.
