Margao: Congress party will shortly launch a district outreach programme, ‘Avaz Tumcho, Sangat Amcho’, seeking suggestions on issues to be raised during assembly sessions and other platforms, leader of the opposition Yuri Alemao told reporters.“We are inviting people to share their ideas on pressing issues facing their village and towns. We aim to engage with the people and bring their concerns to the assembly session and other platforms,” Alemao said. He cited destruction of the environment and unemployment as some of the issues that govt has failed to address.Congress Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira said that the assembly session is the right platform to raise and debate the issues of the public, and give justice to the community.“Whatever suggestions and issues we get from this outreach programme, we will discuss and raise them unitedly in the assembly session,” Ferreira said.Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa said that across Goa, people can be seen agitating against unwanted projects, which are imposed without taking people into confidence.
