Prayagraj: City Congress Committee members on Wednesday staged a protest on collectorate campus against FIR by govt against Swami Avimukteshwaranand, his disciple Mukundanand, etc, for alleged exploitation of minor boys. The protesters termed the action a grave insult to Hindutva and Sanatan.The activists also raised anti-govt slogans and asserted that BJP govt, which claimed to support Hindutva and Sanatan, made such baseless and disgusting allegations against Swami Avimukteshwaranand.Congress members said, “Deputy CM condemned police attack on students, while a Swami has been booked, which shows govt’s double standards.” The protesters submitted to ADM City a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister in this regard. tnn
