Lucknow: Samajwadi Party functionaries on Thursday held ‘bhandaras’ and distributed blankets and clothes among the poor to celebrate the birthday of Dimple Yadav, Mainpuri MP and wife of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.In Lucknow, thousands of party functionaries, particularly women, reached SP headquarters to celebrate Dimple’s birthday. Akhilesh thanked the cadres for their love and wishes for Dimple. SP state president Shyam Lal Pal and state chief of women’s wing Rebu Srivastava celebrated Dimple’s birthday by cutting a cake. Blankets were distributed and a ‘bhandara’ organised. Fruits were distributed among patients at Balrampur hospital and at Sheroz Café Dimple’s birthday was celebrated by cutting a cake.
The Mainpuri MP’s birthday was also celebrated in Gonda, Bahraich, Azamgarh, Jaswantnagar, Kannauj, Mainpuri and other districts. In Muzaffarnagar’s Shamli the Mainpuri MP’s birthday was celebrated by SP functionary Sudhir Panwar, district president Ashok Chaudhary and other functionaries. TNN
