Kanpur: A Class XII student of UP Board allegedly committed suicide due to exam pressure in the Panki area on Tuesday — the second case in the city in just four days.Apparently, the deceased struggled with maths and had an exam on Tuesday, which totally stressed her out. Her dad left for work around 9 am, and her mom and sister headed out for some errands. Her dad said he tried calling her, but she didn’t answer. When her mother got back home, she found her hanging. She called for help, and neighbours pitched in to bring her down, but she was already gone.Panki police station in-charge Manoj Singh Bhadauria said that initial findings indicated suicide due to exam pressure, and the family was being questioned. On Feb 21, another Class XII student of CBSE board took her life at HBTU residential accommodation near Green Park Stadium, fearing failure in accountancy exam.
