City students shine in JEE Main; 46 score above 99 percentile | Vadodara News

Vadodara: Students from Vadodara and Anand delivered an impressive performance in JEE (Main) 2026 – Session 1, with at least 46 candidates scoring above the 99 percentile. Of these, six students crossed the 99.90 percentile mark. The results were declared on Monday evening.Topping the Vadodara list is Dev Prajapati with 99.967 percentile, followed by Khushee Tewar (99.941), Manav Gujjar (99.932), Aditya Bhattacharya (99.928), Yug S Patel (99.91) and Trayaksh (99.91). Tewar, the city’s second topper, is likely the highest-scoring girl from Gujarat in Session 1. Yug Patel emerged as the Anand city topper.Close behind were Harsh Saxena (99.904), Jagrut (99.89), Aryan (99.887), Aishwar (99.88), Supriya (99.88), Pranshu Gupta (99.877), Shlok Patel (99.873) and Dhruv Prajapati (99.87).Several others featured in the 99.8-plus bracket, including Manan Panchal (99.846), Yojit Nageshwar (99.850), Vedant (99.84) and Darsh Patel (99.815).In the 99.7 range, Saumya Trivedi (99.76) and Atharva Bhoraskar (99.73) stood out, while Kalp Bhatt (99.655), Tanay (99.64) and Sanvi Jhanwar (99.62) also secured strong percentile.Among those scoring above 99.5 percentile were Rohan (99.58), Naman Shukla (99.52), Harsh Gajera (99.51) and Vedant Chugh (99.50). Ayush (99.469) and Shubham (99.4) also crossed the 99 percentile mark, along with Aaryan Savant (99.187), Dwij Sutariya (99.18), Teerth (99.17), Priyanshi Patel (99.08) and Piyush Sahoo (99.07).The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of JEE (Main) exams on Monday evening. Final ranks will be prepared after Session 2, with the best of the two NTA scores considered.JEE (Main) serves as the gateway to NITs, IIITs and other govt funded technical institutions. It is also the qualifying examination for JEE (Advanced), which paves the way to the IITs.
