Jaipur: Rajasthan chief secretary V Srinivas Thursday urged departments to pair traditional outreach with modern communication tools to ensure govt schemes and programmes reach citizens effectively. “Social media and innovative platforms can significantly enhance the reach and impact of govt initiatives,” he said.Union I&B secretary Sanjay Jaju stressed that messaging must be simple and relatable. “Information should be easy to understand, reliable, and emotionally engaging. Successful campaigns such as the GST Savings Festival, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan demonstrate that clear and simple communication works best,” he said.

The workshop included presentations by PIB director general Anupama Bhatnagar and principal director general B Narayanan, who outlined strategies for social media use and platform-specific communication to engage the public.Rajasthan information secretary Sandesh Nayak said the department would implement the suggestions to strengthen the reach of govt schemes.
