Chandauli. On Saturday, a sensation spread in Ballia Kala Bazaar of Chakia development block when a young man was shot in broad daylight. The young man Nagendra Rajbhar (32 years), resident of Alipur Bhangra, Chakia, died on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, Chakia Kotwali police reached the spot and the body was taken to Joint District Hospital, Chakia, where doctors declared the young man dead after testing.
According to eyewitnesses, the accused young man Sujit Chauhan, a resident of Ballia Kala, is said to be mentally deranged. He fired from his father Ram Anuj Chauhan’s licensed gun which hit Nagendra’s back. After the incident, there was chaos in the area and there was an atmosphere of panic in the market.
