Kanpur: The Cell for Differently Abled Persons (CDAP) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) celebrated its annual day on Tuesday.The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by deputy director, IIT-K Braj Bhushan, chief guest of the event Dr Alma Chopra and head CDAP Anubha Goel. Prof Bhushan spoke about CDAP’s ongoing initiatives and reaffirmed the cell’s commitment to supporting and empowering students with disabilities. A touching role-play performance by students captivated the audience and conveyed strong messages on empathy, inclusion, and social awareness.

Dr Alma Chopra shared her insights on perseverance, self-belief, and the importance of inclusive education and societal support for persons with disabilities. Alumni Talk by Gorank Dudeja reflected on his campus experiences. Prizes for the drawing competition held on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Dec 3 were given away to the winners.
