Kanpur: A CBSE Board intermediate student ended her life by late on Saturday night in Nawabganj police station area of the city.On Sunday morning, the 17-year-old girl’s father found her body hanging from ceiling fan in her room, the police said.Her father works as a mechanic at Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU). He said that the girl was appearing for intermediate exam at a CBSE college in Mandhana. She had appeared for her first exam on Feb 18 and her next exam of accountancy was on Feb 24. She was nervous about it. Her father said that they had counselled her not to take tension .On Saturday night, she was seen studying in her room until 1 am. Next morning when went to her room he found the girl’s body.Police station in-charge Keshav Kumar Tiwari said that preliminary investigation suggest that the student was under exam pressure. The body was sent for post-mortem. tnn
