Ludhiana: The Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle (GGSSC), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) unit, recently successfully organized ‘Yuvak Mela’ on the university premises. The event witnessed participation from more than 20 colleges across the district zone, reflecting a vibrant youth spirit and a deep sense of cultural and spiritual commitment among students.Vice-chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal encouraged all participating teams to pursue excellence while remaining firmly rooted in moral values and rich cultural heritage of our nation.
The ‘Yuvak Mela’ featured three competitions, including ‘Shabad gayan’, poetry, and elocution, each highlighting the students’ devotion, creativity, confidence, and literary excellence. In the ‘Shabad gayan’ competition, Ramgarhia Girls College secured first position, followed by College of Agriculture, PAU, and Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd in third position. The elocution competition was won by Master Tara Singh Memorial College, while GGN College secured second position. In the poetry competition, Jaswant Singh Dental College emerged as the winner, Ramgarhia Girls College secured second position, and GGN College came third.The judges appreciated the dedication, discipline, confidence, and enthusiasm displayed by the participating students and commended the meticulous efforts of the organizing team.Dr Gosal distributed awards and certificates to the winners and participants, congratulating them on their performances and encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in both academics and character. Dr Buta Singh Dhillon, along with his dedicated team of student volunteers from the organisation, coordinated the programme, aiming for spiritual awareness, cultural preservation, intellectual growth, and ethical leadership among the youth.
