Gurgaon: A homebuyer has approached state authorities, raising concerns over possession-linked conditions, safety infrastructure and regulatory compliance at a residential project in Sector 89.The allottee of a flat at The Meridian sought official intervention, citing unresolved issues at the project developed by the builder. In a detailed representation sent to the department of town and country planning (DTCP) and the state real estate regulator, HRERA, the woman sought relief against what she described as pressure tactics and unresolved safety concerns at the project, located along the Pataudi Road corridor in the city.

The complaint referred to alleged pressure to sign a no-objection certificate before possession, concerns over approach road connectivity, and layout changes. Safety-related issues, including the placement of electrical infrastructure near residential towers, were also flagged.She also referred to orders passed by the HRERA in certain buyer-specific cases concerning reinstatement of units and delay-related compensation, stating that the “spirit of the orders” needed to be implemented across the project.Replying to the allegations, a spokesperson for the realtor said the construction has been completed and an occupancy certificate was received in principle and that consent from over two-thirds of allottees has been submitted, files have been deposited and the remaining formalities are in process. He added that concerns are being raised by a few investors and the company is considering legal action against attempts to create confusion.Meanwhile, district town planner (enforcement) Amit Madholia said a complaint has been received and the department is looking into the matter. “A junior engineer has been assigned the duty to visit the project and examine the situation, based on his report, action will be taken,” he added.
