Buxar: A meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held at the collectorate on Monday under the chairmanship of district magistrate Sahila.The DM reviewed preparations for the revenue mega campaign and e-measurement campaign scheduled from Jan 26 to March 31. The sub-divisional officers (land reforms) of Buxar and Dumraon were directed to submit a detailed report and thereafter provide progress reports every two days during the campaign.
All circle officers were instructed to submit reports on land availability within one week. They were also directed to furnish details related to the land bank, wetlands, encroachments, and other land-use matters to the SDOs (land reforms) concerned.The DM stressed timely filing of counter-affidavits in cases that were pending in the Patna high court.Taking a serious view of poor performance, the salary of the revenue officer of Simri circle was withheld due to low ranking, encroachment issues, and pending court cases. The executive officer of Buxar nagar parishad was also asked to explain delays in court matters.All circle officers were directed to dispose of mutation, land dispute, e-measurement, and related cases within the stipulated time. Due to mutation cases pending for over 75 days, the circle officers of Itadhi, Chausa, and Rajpur were asked to submit explanations.The block development officer of Nawanagar was directed to explain the lack of interest in geo-tagging and the Awas Plus survey.The DM asked the officials to remove encroachments near the Gokul reservoir at the Chakki circle office.Emphasising inter-departmental coordination, the DM said that all departments must work together to ensure overall development of the district and implementation of public welfare schemes.
