Boy killed, 2 others injured in bus-bike collision

Buxar: A 16-year-old boy died and two others sustained serious injuries in a collision between a bus and a motorcycle under Krishna Brahm police station area of Buxar district on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Chhatu Shah, a resident of Dumari village under Simari police station. The accident occurred near Lewar village around 3pm.Eyewitness Ravi Patel said the bus was speeding and travelling in the wrong lane when it rammed into the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so severe that it killed one of the riders on the spot and threw the other two on the road.

Local residents alleged that buses frequently ply on the wrong side in the Naya Bhojpur area to pick up passengers due to the absence of a diversion, leading to repeated accidents. Police rushed the injured to Sadar Hospital and seized the bus.According to preliminary information, all three youths were riding on the same motorcycle and were heading towards Dumri village. Krishna Brahm SHO Ravi Kumar said an investigation is underway.
