According to officials, the registrar of the high court received an email Friday morning threatening to blow up the high court premises. The email claimed that three powerful RDX bombs had been planted inside the campus. Acting swiftly, security agencies launched a thorough search operation across the court complex. At the Jaipur bench, court proceedings were temporarily suspended while security teams conducted intensive checks in courtrooms, judges’ chambers and advocates’ chambers. After several hours of scanning the premises, authorities declared the campus safe. Entry for lawyers and litigants was restored and court work resumed later in the day. A similar security operation was carried out at the high court’s principal seat in Jodhpur after the Registrar received a threatening email. However, no suspicious object was detected during the checks. A bomb threat was also reported at the district and sessions court in Ajmer. Officials said the district collector received an email claiming that 13 RDX bombs were planted inside the court complex. Security agencies immediately initiated checks, but no explosives were found. The high court has faced such threats repeatedly in the past. Last year alone, six bomb threats were reported, including five threatening emails received on consecutive days in Dec. Despite repeated incidents, those behind the threats remain unidentified.
