Gaya: Live webcasting of the three-day Bodh Mahotsav will be carried out through the social media pages of the Gaya district administration to ensure wide publicity of the annual event.DM-cum-Bodh Gaya Temple Management Committee president Shashank Shubhankar said on Wednesday evening, “Apart from cultural troupes from Thailand, Laos, Sri Lanka and Japan, Bollywood playback singers, over 100 local artistes have been selected to perform at the event.”
Other attractions include a fashion show to promote the textile traditions, crafts and cultural heritage of Magadh; a food fair featuring delicacies from various districts and states; a Gram Shree Mela with 76 stalls showcasing handicrafts from different regions; and a departmental exhibition highlighting public welfare schemes of 10 departments. A Mahila Mahotsav will also be organised, featuring singing, talk shows, dance, judo, karate, dance dramas, essay competitions and musical chair contests.He added, “CCTV cameras have been installed at more than 200 locations in and around the Kalachakra ground, along with a control room at the venue. Magistrates and police personnel have also been deployed to ensure safety.”
