Bhubaneswar: G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district was coldest in the state again on Saturday at 2.5°C. On Friday, it was coldest at 2.6°C. Phulbani at 5.5°C recorded the day’s second lowest after G Udayagiri.

Bhubaneswar recorded 10.7°C compared to 10.5°C on Friday.Coldwave conditions continued in Jharsuguda, Angul and Jagatsinghpur districts during the day. Jharsuguda at 6.7°C saw the day’s highest drop again at 5.8°C. Angul followed at 8.6°C, a 5.5°C drop from normal.

IMD forecast said chilly condition would continue in the state on Sunday with coldwave warning issued for eight districts. Thereafter, night temperature would witness a gradual rise by 2°C to 4°C from Monday, said an IMD bulletin.
